It’s like this. You have to have the nicest jeans or the coolest shoes or say the newest thing so that it catches on. You have to be attractive, you have to buy this, wear this, say this, be on his side, her side, be neutral, be normal, be unique, have white teeth, have straight teeth. You have to go to parties, be friends with everyone, trust no one, pose like you're a success, smile like that, say clever things, and put your hand on your hip because that’s how it is. And let me just say, fuck all of that.

It's a free gift to people you will never know and, whilst that doesn't say everything about you, it says a huge amount.
really well said, most people are too afraid of themselves, so they set or rather accept the rules society sets.
