it all begins with YOU

IF you believe in your self,
you don't need to convince others.
IF you are content with your self,
you don't need the approval of others.
IF you accept your self,
the whole world will accept YOU.

the world's made of stories, not atoms

What is my perfect crime? I break into Tiffany’s at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No. I go for the chandelier; it’s priceless. As I’m taking it down, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It’s her father’s business. She’s Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico but I go to Canada. I don’t trust her. Besides, I love the cold.

Thirty years later I get a postcard. I have a son. And he’s the Chief of Police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She’s been waiting for me all these years. She’s never taken another lover. I don’t care. I don’t show up. I go to Berlin. That’s where I stashed the chandelier.

taking life one day at a time

The person I was yesterday introduced me to the person I am today; which makes me quite excited about meeting the person I will become tomorrow ... I think.

time to shine

When you let the ideas of others cloud your mind, you block your own light from shining through.

a matter of difference

The opposite of life is not death; it's indifference.
The opposite of love is not hate; it's indifference.
The opposite of extra-ordinary is not mediocrity; it's indifference.

Whatever you do, however you do it, whoever you do it with ... just don't be indifferent.

listen our for the REAL YOU

Seek out that particular attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive - along with which comes the inner 'voice in my head' which says "this is the real me" - and when you have found that attitude, follow it.

a matter of mind [over matter]

It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It's what you think about.

ode to passion

Passion. It lies in each one of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though often unwanted, unbidden, it will still stir, open its jaws, and howl. Passion speaks to us, guides us, rules us even. And we obey. What other choice do we have?

Sometimes it hurts more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we’d know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow; like an empty room, shuttered and dank.
Without passion we’d be dead.

fibs I tell to 4 year olds

Trees talk to each other at night.

All fish are named either Jill or Jack.

Before your eyeballs fall out from watching too much TV, they get very loose.

Tiny bears live in drain pipes.

If you are very very quiet you can hear the clouds rub against the sky.

Everyone knows at least one secret language.

When nobody is looking, I can fly.

We are all held together by invisible threads.
